If you're a rising 3L, then you'll be applying to judges through OSCAR through a streamlined process by which literally all of your materials will reach the judges on the same day in early September. Consult with your recommenders' administrative assistants. Chances are you're supposed to submit a COMPLETE list of targeted judges to them by a certain date. That way, the assistants will be able to individually upload each letter (just a lot of mail merge and clicking) into OSCAR. On the scheduled date, the letters will go out automatically.

If you're an alum, then yes, the assistants will have to upload each letter individually as you request them. You can make their lives a little easier, though, but making batches of requests at a time. So instead of requesting 2 letters today, 1 letter tomorrow, and then another 2 the day after, wait until the third day and request all 5 letters at the same time. You get my point.

From what I remember OSCAR consolidates everything and gives your recommender or an admin a single list of judges. A judge gets added to that one list once their request comes through.
