Any insights on their secret compensation structure? Any insiders willing to say if they made above or below market the past few years, and how the pay spread is?

There was a thread on this a while ago. Several SAs and/or associates said most people make market or very close to it. However, bonuses are apparently paid as a "raise" rather than a lump sum, so you get it piecemeal over the next year (presumably you don't collect the remainder if you leave, and due to time value you're making slightly less than market).

Does anyone have personal knowledge about JD clerkship bonuses? Are they different for Fed. Dist. than for Fed. App.? Higher for two clerkships? Any actual info much appreciated.
