Top Law Schools

I am wondering what my chances are of actually landing a mid-law to big-law job during 3L OCI or through mass mailing. My first year I was just slightly above median. However, I improved drastically over one year and I am now in the top 25%. This past semster I got 3.82 GPA, with the highest grade in one of my courses. The classes I have taken are not easy seminar classes, most were required or highly suggested (Civ Pro II, evidence, sec transactions, corporations etc.). I am on a secondary journal and I have decent WE. I worked for a small firm after 1L (in a smaller market where I would like to practice), this summer I am doing an externship with a Justice on the SC in my state, and I will be working for a coporation the second half of summer and throughout the school year in their legal department (just shy of Fortune 500).

Did I miss the boat and screw myself? Would I stand a chance in places like Chicago and Minneapolis or smaller secondary markets? Will firms look past my mediocre 1L grades and see significant potential in my 2L grades?
