3.6 at CLS; suggestions for EIP bid list?

Post by Anonymous User » Sun Jun 17, 2012 10:06 pm

As the title suggests.

Also, do I have any shot at Cravath / DPW / Skadden.

Many thanks!

P.S. I believe we have a 3.3 median, and a 3.41 is approx. top 35%. But I'm not sure.

Something about this doesn't follow. If the median is 3.3, the median GPA should be slightly higher (say, 3.36). Thus, the top third could not possibly be in the 3.40's; it's most likely around 3.5 (my school has the same median - that's what it is). You would be about the top 25%.

Cravath is the one I'd be most concerned about. I'd say Skadden should be ok because I know someone who got an offer there who was top 25% from a slightly worse school than yours. Good luck!

Apply away to those firms you listed, you have a chance at all, though of course Cravath would probably be the least likely.

Thank you so much!

I meant to say that median gpa is ~3.3; not that a 3.3 is the target for individual classes. It is not official, and there have been some changes lately, so it is just an estimate. I believe it was ~3.2 in previous years. But no one knows for sure other than God and Dean Schizer.

Not OP, but which is more grade selective? DPW or Skadden?
