Help - Planning NYC trip - I want to meet with non-oci firms

I'm planning an NYC trip and hoping to get a chance to meet with 1 or 2 non-OCI firms.
What's the best way to approach firm recruiters about setting up a meeting? It'd be fantastic to schedule my flight at a time when the firm is available to meet.
I don't want to sound presumptuous that the firm wants to meet me. But I'd also like to reach out beyond the last sentence in my cover letter saying "I'll be in NYC in XYZ date. If you're willing to meet...etc."
Have any of you been in my position and successfully set up a meeting/visit/interview? If so, I'd love to hear your advice before I shoot out an application/e-mail.
