worries: about my 'short' resume

I have 8+ years of pre-law work history. I met with 2 biglaw partners recently. One was curious about the apparent 'gap' on my resume and asked me what I did during that period. I answered him promptly and honestly as there was nothing to hide. A second/final interview is to be scheduled - as he promised at our meeting. But I am worried...

I wonder if my strategy in keeping my resume short (1.5 pages) was a sound one. I thought it would not be wise to include every single work detail on my resume. I held several internships at law school, and none of them should be omitted. I also have several publications and awards....

Would it be a 'red flag' to my employer if I did not include everything since college?

Protocol: Resumes are 1 page.

If that resume is 2 pages long, you can get yours down to 1.
