Top Law Schools

Title says it. After busting my ass to find something (Rising 2L btw) I got a job at a small music company for the summer. People seem great and they want me to stay into the fall. I just got a callback from a large production company for their summer program I applied to 3 months ago. I would feel terrible if I screwed the music guys by leaving, but the other job is more geared towards what I want to do. I dont have that much interest in the music side of things, but I took what I could get. What is TCR? Is it worth it to burn a bridge? I want to practice entertainment law btw but more so movies/t.v. not music.

Try to see if you can split your summer.

Since they want me to continue working on a large project into the fall I dont think that will be an option. Shit. Plus the Large Company is paid (not much) where the Music Company starts paying me in the fall (around the same $$)

Update: Cant Split Summer but the Production Company pays $$. So how does one gently renege an internship without pissing someone in the entertainment industry off....

can't you work remotely with the music company or volunteer stuff for them occasionally?
I don't think people easily get pissed, especially if you offer to do things for them and/or try to build up a relationship with them

I wouldn't step on anyone's toes. Stick with the music company for sure and see if the production company will be flexible. Maybe get a fall internship with them?

Thanks Cantaboot, Thats what my thought was - just see if I can moonlight at the music company, I hope I can do that.
