DC at 3.4 at M

I have a 3.4 at M (I have no idea where that places me relative to others at M, but I think it is above median).
I know DC is fiercely competitive, but is there any chance at V50 firms in DC?
My initial plan was to just focus on NYC but I am more interested in the practice areas in DC (at least based on what I can determine so far). However, I am afraid targeting DC firms would mean shooting myself in the foot as I don't have DC-level grades.
I have fair to good ties to both markets.

I am also Non-URM racial minority + LGBT, for whatever that might be worth (probably nothing).

Why limit yourself to V50?

From what I gather, that's around top 1/3 at Michigan. There is some chance your grades could lead to a DC offer, but there's also a significant risk of walking away empty-handed. Why do you think you want to work in DC? Do you have any experience to back it up?

Just said V50 offhand. Open to anyone paying market in DC with good exit options.

As for practice areas in DC, govt./regulatory undergrad background (I also have consulting internships, but minimal finance/corporate background, so nothing to show for NYC there). Litigation internship this summer, so really I am all over the place.
Also attended undergrad in DC.

(The updated grade averages OCI list does a better job of breaking things down by cities. So I suppose I have better information now. Nevermind.)
