Work Hour Flexibility of Government Agencies?

I realize this depends on the government agency, but for unpaid summer internships in general, are the hours of work pretty flexible (when you can come in/leave or even how many hours/days you work per week)? TIA.
*edit: Agencies in/around DC if that helps

Summer internships tend to be more structured than semester internships, because you're expected to work a pretty normal full-time schedule. You may get some choice (e.g., 8:30 to 5 vs 9 to 5:30). I've only know of one person who got actual AWS as an intern (though it seems like most any staff attorney in a GC's office that wants it can get it).

I would just work full-time regular hours for now. 8-5:30. Then, as time goes on, see how your co-workers around you treat their schedule, and do likewise. I would still try to work 40 hours/week no matter what, though.
