go for it, it can only help you, especially since all the 1Ls are undifferentiable. i put it on for my 2L interviews and many interviewers were impressed.

If your resume is other wise short of relevant work experience, and all you really have is your undergrad stuff, there's nothing wrong with listing your UG GPA. Obviously, your law school GPA is much more important. But if you had a really high GPA it's not completely wrong to list that. Or, instead of listing the GPA you can just list your school, major and "summa cum laude" or "with honors" whatever the case may be.

only leave your UGPA off your resume if it's abysmal

why would it be douchey to put your gpa on your resume? putting your high gpa on your facebook is douchey, putting it on your resume is common sense

You can do either honors, just list the GPA, or both. Most firms will ask for a transcript anyway, so listing the summa distinction should probably get you past the sniff test anyway (unless your resume is too weak to warrant consideration).

IMO the more other stuff that is on your resume, the more ridiculous it looks to have UGPA on there. If you've been out of school for 10 years and law is your second career, listing your UGPA looks silly. However, if you're <2 years out of school I think listing the GPA is fine.

Also, if you're not pretty far out of school, and you leave it off, they will assume abysmal.

It probably doesn't matter, but I would only put the honors distinction.

Only put a good UG GPA on if your LS GPA is impressive as well. Otherwise leave both GPAs off. If you have an awesome UG GPA, but leave off your LS GPA, it will look silly. This is what career services told me.

LSAT should never be on the resume for recruiting, even for 1L SA positions, right?
Hell no.

definitely mention your three 180's in a bullet point under your undergrad

My biggest worry is that it begs the question of "Why did you not put your law school GPA?" If you don't put your LS GPA on there (for instance, your school doesn't let you calculate it or you have a funny grading system, or both), I wouldn't put undergrad GPA. Honors designations should get the point across.

Just make it up if you don't have any. Worked for Dave Hall.

Wrong, my UG GPA is a lot better than my law GPA. Your advice is basically asking most anyone with a 3.9+ UG GPA to not list it.

Only put it on if it is 3.9 or above

I could have sworn I've read on TLS that your 1L grades are all that matter (as far as academic credentials go in interviewing). I'm assuming this advice is only for applying without full 1L grades and wouldn't apply post 1L (e.g. OCI).

I am keeping mine on there, but I guess patent people have different rules and expectations.
ETA, my career services don't really suggest putting it on, but I did anyway, and worked out beautifully.

They aren't going to care about your UG GPA, they'll only care about your 1L first semester grades, and if it's a firm that's interviewing you before that, they care about your work experience. I landed a 1L SA, and no one asked me in a single interview about UG (other than about my minor in Chinese Language which is a little odd since I'm Swedish). And yes, straight out of UG.

They were not very interested about my 1L grades.

I plan to keep my UGPA on my resume for OCI (1) because it looks good and (2) we aren't allowed to list our law school GPA on our initial resumes for OCI (something about wanting employers to have a untainted impression of you when you walk in the interview).

If they really believed in that lie they would use a lottery system.
