Since 12% of GSU students got a job with a firm of 100+ or a Fed clerkship in 2010, maybe, but probably not.

Also only 15% got jobs in firms of 50+ and Fed. clerkships.

Thanks. How does this compare to Emory?
I am considering throwing in a transfer app to Emory (from GSU) but not sure if that will make much difference.

Almost certainly not (perhaps exception for hard sciences).

I heard (but have not confirmed) that K&S has not hired anyone from GSU in the last 3-4 years. They all pretty much require top 5-10%, maybe a little outside of that for a URM. You probably need law review too.

I'm bored so I just checked. There are six associates at the Atlanta office with JDs from Georgia State. They were all hired before 2009 - before the economy collapsed and the job market for law students changed completely.

There is one associate at King and Spalding's Charlotte office who graduated from GSU more recently, though.

In contrast: at least four of the seven associates at the Atlanta office with JDs from Harvard were hired as/after the economy collapsed. I think it's safe to say that hiring practices have changed.
