I am going to be doing a SA at a vault firm this summer as a 2L but I wont be able to graduate law school until after the summer semester (august 2013) due to medical reasons and i am wondering if this could effect my chances of getting a full time offer and if there is anyway for me to take the bar in July while i'm still finishing my last semester?

1) Ask the bar association.

2) Ask the firm.

Hi OP here, I plan on asking my firm but just wondering if anyone here had similar experiences since my firm didn't ask anything about it during the interviews. On a related question is it POSSIBLE to work as an associate at a firm without passing the bar for a few months? I've heard of people failing the bar once and still retained their offer.

Yes it's possible, and actually almost always happens. Associates in NYC start in September/October, but don't receive their bar results until November/December, and don't get sworn in until January.
