1L working for small firm or judge (summer)?

Question:
I'm a 1L and I've accepted a paying summer position with a small firm in the area of law I'm interested in practicing (immigration law). We didn't specifically discuss hours so I think it's an option that I can work either full or part time.
I have an interview with a judge next week, but I'm just wondering how impressive a summer internship with a judge really is? It seems to me like the majority of my classmates are interning with judges so I'm just wondering whether it would be worth it to do both the small firm work and work for the judge (assuming I was offered the job)?
One of my reasons for asking this is because the two jobs are in completely different parts of the large city I live in, it may be kind of a pain in the ass to do both (which I guess is a pretty piss poor excuse considering I won't be taking classes). I should mention that ultimately I'm interested in practicing for small/mid-sized firms or even open to being a solo.
