Interested in this as well. I've seen it as both, but I would think you could put it as a job, just like an externship.

FWIW, I listed mine as a job. But, it was an outside clinic with the USAO and was half my credits for the term.

Ok people are telling me at school that I should just go ahead and list it as a job (well as Experience).

But I have another question:

I worked with a clinic at school but was basically outsourced to a local nonprofit. How to I say I worked at the nonprofit through the clinic

For mine, I listed the USAO as the employer and "Student Clinic Participant" as the job title. This is what my school suggested.

Verbatim from school:

You can either have a bullet point under "Northwestern" where you say something like: Student Intern, Center Name or you can elaborate on your work at the Center but list it under the Experience section.
