I am working at a V25 firm (NYC/DC) for the first half of my 1L summer. When should I hear if I have an offer to return for 2L summer? It would obviously be very helpful if I knew before 2L OCI in August. I'm sure this varies somewhat by firm but hope that there is a standard expectation with some variation rather than a total individualized crapshoot.

I'm in a 1L big/mid law diversity program in a secondary market, and based on what the people who got offers last year said, it's kind of a crapshoot. Some firms will offer before OCI every year, some purposefully wait until after, some vary from year to year. My best suggestion is to try to find someone else who worked there 1L summer to ask.
