Networking After Accepting Job Elsewhere

I am a 3L who is set to start at a firm in the fall, but due to personal circumstances (fiance moving to a different city), I'd like to get a job in a new city as soon as possible. My fiance has put me in contact with people from the legal market there that he knows, but I'm wondering how to handle this touchy situation. I don't want to jeopardize the job I do have.

Should I be upfront about my situation or am I at risk of them looking down on me or calling my current firm (far away from them) for wanting to jump ship before starting?

well, if your goal is to relocate to your fiance's city, then you're going to have to network (job search) eventually. it isn't uncommon for people to look for new opportunities while "committed" somewhere. i doubt either firm will contact each other to gossip about your status. go ahead and meet with your new contact and inquire about the opportunity. you have a legit reason for considering other offers and this new firm will understand that.
