Exit options specific to capital markets?

What kind of exit options are available to a big law associate in capital markets? General corporate and/or M&A associates seem to be preferred for in house opportunities.
What kind of legal opportunities are there? Are there any business positions that capital market associates might have access to?

In house positions at banks and public corporations are open to capital markets associates but I think most of the jobs will be in the NYC/tri-state area. You would definitely be a bit more marketable with some general corporate work as well. I hear that if you can specialize in derivatives work or structured products (equity instruments with a fixed or floating interest rate tied to some index) you can easily get in-house work at large banks.

Going to bump this.
Seems almost all exits are at banks. Any other options? Examples welcome.
Unrelated: is there a possible transition to project finance after a few years?

If you want to exit into project finance, you should start in project finance.
If you want to work at an investment bank as a banker, you should get an MBA instead of a JD.
If you want to exit into inhouse role doing M&A work, you should do M&A.
Not hard.

More tough words from "anonymous." Seems to be the trend lately around these parts.
