More prestigious federal judge - Article III or Magistrate?

In terms of a summer internship, which would be better (or does it not matter)?

For me, the difference is writing opinions (Art. III) vs. writing R&Rs (magistrate).

R&Rs are frickin long! AND it's not even a decision, just a mere recommendation for the Art. III judge.

I would go Art. III.

^^ Caveat: 1L COA interns don't write a whole lot of opinions, but district court interns do.

The only advantage magistrates would have is that they deal with a lot more discovery stuff, so if you have some bizarre passion for discovery matters, the magistrate would be better. Otherwise, Art. III is better for the tiny incremental prestige and greater diversity of activities.
