2. No idea. I had a similar situation for 1L summer where the employer told another employee I was their intern, but I told the employer right away that I didn't mean to accept yet because I had another interview the next day. If you really need to withdraw from this position (people will tell you not to), I suggest you do it like pulling off a band-aide.
