Currently a 2L doing public interest work this summer. Turned down big law offers because I really thought I wanted to go the public interest route but am questioning it now ... what are the chances of getting into ip lit as a 3L.

(I worked at a small ip firm during my 1L year and have already passed the patent bar.)

Normally your biglaw chances would be shot (3L OCI is a joke), but I'm not familiar with patent law. I have seen some 3L OCI patent law sorts of positions interviewing.

It was 3/5. But you can get a list of the firms that are going and mass mail them before the summer. Obviously they are hiring.

And this is exactly why you should not enter law school without a pretty good idea of what you want to do with you degree...tough luck man....its gonna be tough--especially after you already rejected the firms that were most interested in you...
