Who to ask to for firm's specific clerkship policy?

I will be a summer associate at a V100 firm this summer and I am interested in clerking. My firm's NALP page says bonuses are given for clerkships but I would like to know some more specific info...mainly if they give the going rate of 50k. I'm not entirely sure who to direct this question to - should I ask the partner who made me the offer? a person in HR? I'm sure people want to know this info all of the time but I feel kind of awkward asking them what bonus they will give me for clerking when I don't have a full time offer yet...

Are the majority of V100 firms paying 50k (or at least close to it)?

Are the rules different for work -> clerk -> work? Assume the second "work" is with a different employer.
