If you were going to open a small law firm tomorrow and focus on 1-3 areas of law to practice, and the areas could not be Criminal Defense, Family, or Personal Injury, what would the practice be and why?

I think it could be cool to work at a tax boutique, bc I like tax.

Bankruptcy. It's always in demand, and personal bankruptcies are usually simple enough that a secretary can complete the forms. All the lawyer really has to do is attend the hearings. (Of course, this is a very broad generalization, but most of the bankruptcy attorneys I know or have worked with have done pretty well with very little actual work).

Anyone have any information on how profitable a §1983 practice can be? I studied 1983 in my civil rights law class, but I have no idea how viable it would be to build a practice around it.
