Any rising 3Ls care to share how they did at the Loyola Patent Fair 2012?

T10, top 10%, LR, BSEE, pre-law work experience, V10 2L job.

I got 4 screeners and zero CBs from 3L LPIP. Good luck!

Wow.

Did you get offered at the 2L summer job, or were you no-offered?

I received an offer from my 2L firm after my screeners at the LPIP.

Do you mean 2011? The 2012 fair is yet to come, right?

I'm wondering if it's worth it to apply if I'm currently a 2L below median at T1. B.S. in biomedical engineering, 2 years work experience, registered patent agent.

Worth it to apply. You might get a bite or two.

Do you remember approximately how many firms were there? How many bids do 3Ls get? 32 again?

We got 32 bids, but there were only 17 or so firms that I was even remotely interested in which were hiring 3Ls. I can't remember how many firms there were total which were hiring 3Ls.

So I was considering PLIP, I am a 2L, lower ranked school (75-100), top 20% with secondary journal, relevant WE...but I am looking to only interview for offices in Philadelphia or Pittsburgh area (only have ties to those regions), so am I right in thinking it is not worth it at all to make the trip if only a small percent of firms will be interviewing for post-grad positions and I am limiting myself to 2 cities?

you should definitely go. do not be choosy or selective until you have an offer in hand. i would add NY firms too just in case (it would make the trip even more worth it). given that your school is lower ranked PLIP could be your best shot at a job
