Writing Sample?

Post by dabbadon8 » Fri Dec 30, 2011 3:32 pm

Sent out applications to fed judges for judicial internships. Got a response from a fed magistrate requesting a second writing sample, other than my memo from legal writing which was submitted (and didn't want anything else from my legal writing class). The email said that they were aware I might not have any other legal writing and I could submit a college paper or something else that represented my writing fairly. I am unsure of what to send, I did not do a senior thesis or any major papers in undergrad that I think would make good writing samples. I imagine my personal statement for LS would be inappropriate but I don't know what else to send. I drafted a grand jury memo in undergrad when interning for the SAO, however that is a recital of the facts of the case and I'm not sure if that be appropriate either. Any suggestions?
