I found this information in my home town in the Business Journal. I'll look for a link and put it up. I think The Business Journal is a national thing, and puts out a broadsheet for each major city.

Court cases are public record. Are you in lol school? If so, you should be able to look up the company and see who represented them in the recent past. If you aren't in lol school, go to the nearest public library and they can help. If you are in NYC or the state where your company is headquartered and go to the records room in the courthouse.

Are you interested in corporate or litigation counsel? If the latter, look it up on westlaw. If the former, it should be announced if they did any big deals (M&A, capital markets activity, etc) recently - just google.

For westlaw, make sure you are looking at big securities/IP/commercial litigation - I assume that's what you're interested in. Lots of big companies retain local firms to do labor/employment stuff and small contract disputes.

Also, what company is it? It's an outside shot, but someone on this board may know from work.

Your firm doesn't have a wikipedia account that lists their big clients?
