Did a forum search. There is a lot of discussion about Boston Biglaw, not much about Boston midlaw. Interested in hearing specific firm names, opinions about firm culture, and - most importantly - what they tend to practice heavily. Real estate? White collar criminal defense? Bankruptcy? Thanks.

The only one I know off the top my head is Nutter McLennen. I think they're mid-sized. I've heard good things. They do pretty much everything. I'm not sure if they specialize in anything but you could probably google-fu them.

...I thought Nutter was Biglaw. So does that mean Choate Hall is midlaw as well? I'm pretty sure Hinckley and Adler are midlaw - any word on their history of hiring 1Ls from BU/BC?

Yea, Choate just isn't an NLJ 250 firm after layoffs. Midize firms: Sullivan & Worcester, Hinckley, Wolf Greenfield, are the most well-known.

I'd add Goulston Storrs, Mirick O'Connell (Worcester), and Donovan Hatem

Maybe the ones that didn't do OCI. Mass mail is the best option.
