OIGs

Does anyone know much about Office of Inspector General jobs? Almost every federal agency has one and all of them have their own counsel staffs. I know a handful take interns and most don't hire right out of school. My school knew nothing about them. How hard is it to get an auditor/investigator job with them v. counsel's staff? Where do they recruit/network?

There are 73 IG's and each should have their own legal office.

To be an auditor you would need a financial background, but you could be an 1811 Investigator with a JD, problem is most OIG Investigator jobs are going not going to hire entry level JD's, many only hire retired/experience state and federal law enforcement officers.
