Hello All,

If a firm firm of about 30-50 attorneys in a very small market pays their SA $20/hour, is it safe to assume an associate attorney starts off around the same?

Likely the starting pay will be between 60 and 75k for associates but really need to know which market to be able to help you more.

It is NOT safe to assume that. Associates at the my 1L firm make more than twice what I made as an SA.

My 2L firm also pays SA's less than associates, although not by as much. It's about a 30% difference.
