What are the options for a monoglot outside the U.S. for summer or post-graduation firm employment? Talking to my OCS, they said Canada is impossible to crack and that the UK is really for corporate and international arbitration with megafirms in London. A lawyer I know said that Brussels is fairly receptive to American-trained antitrust lawyers, even if they don't speak another language (obviously a negative, but not a total disqualifier). How about Australia? Anywhere else an English-only American lawyer would find worth trying?

US law Grad do work in Canada however you will need to do whats know as NCA http://www.flsc.ca/en/nca/ once you have a statement of qualification Canada is possible from any US law schools(I noted that a Golden Gate grad got an atricling position at a large from in Vancouver[a hard market to crack])

the easiest will be a US firm (or UK firm that recruits here) with foreign offices.

Any ideas on Australia or India?
