Philadelphia Defender Association
I'm a 1L at a Philly area school and I am interested in the office. Does anyone have any experience with their hiring practices? Specifically what the interviews are like, what they look for in applicants? On the website, it mentions a summer program but that seems to be mainly for 2Ls. Does anyone know if they hire 1Ls for the summer? Thanks for all the help!

If you are interested you should submit a resume and cover letter; worst case scenario they tell you they don't hire 1Ls, but you'll be on their radar for next year.
I knew someone who graduated from Temple who had interned there, but I haven't myself so I can't really help you.
