Top Law Schools

HP is one of the few (maybe only) major corporation with a new associate program. They did a big round of screeners early September, has anyone heard back? Moreover, any insight if the CEO ousting and the posed restructuring is affecting the program? Thanks.

I got a callback about a week and a half ago but turned it down. I had done the initial interview about a week or two before I got the callback.

Just FYI, they are still recruiting; I think they're either at NYU or CLS tomorrow. So if you haven't heard anything, it may not be a bad sign.

Has *anyone* gotten offers for this?

Just curious about the selectivity of this-- can you provide us with your (fudged) stats? School range, LR?

mmm i'm not comfortable saying my school's range, but I will say that I am LR, top 15%, worked at a v10 firm last summer, and during my initial interview, I got some serious signals that I would get a callback (the interviewer said s/he wanted to put me in touch with one of his/her colleagues who would really connect with me as a mentee, that I reminded her so much of him/herself, etc.). When I called back re: the callback offer, the administrator said that interviews would begin like next week and continue on. I didn't ask when they would be making final decisions.

Thanks for the info, very helpful. After seeing what kind of stats they were looking for, I can now completely give up hope on this, haha.

I have similar stats and also turned down the callback. It just seems risky with all the turmoil at HP and this program being so new.

Anyone at NYU get a CB with them? They were at OCI last Thursday.

I interviewed and no word yet, the folks said they would be getting back pretty quickly.

Same. I had a good feeling about it so I'm very curious.

Recently got a CB from them. Has anyone actually gone on one and know what it's like?

anyone in the class of 2012 do a call back with HP in October? Anyone know when we will find out the final results and anyone know how they inform people, phone call, snail mail, etc, esp. if they are not hiring you?

Did a call back in mid-oct, i think they said they were interviewing the whole month, so now that its basically november, hoping to hear back positively from then soon.
