I'm sure you know this, but it's Procter, not Proctor. Careful if you're writing them follow-up emails, or anything.

lol sorry. just thought it was weird the firm was even doing CBs in October since their class size is small. and figured if he was doing well he would have accepted another offer.Anonymous User wrote:Huh? Who said he has no offers yet? What makes you think he isn't doing well?Anonymous User wrote:

Re: Goodwin Proctor - NY
Well, the firm is doing CB's in October and clearly has not yet filled their class or wants someone from my T14, I have no idea... all I know is that they called me and gave me a CB and I doubt they'd pay for me to fly into NYC for the lulz (no I do not go to a driving distance T14).Anonymous User wrote:lol sorry. just thought it was weird the firm was even doing CBs in October since their class size is small. and figured if he was doing well he would have accepted another offer.Anonymous User wrote:Huh? And whatever my personal offer situation is or is not, a significant number of my transfer at my do have offers. (Also I'm the transfer and am not the OP and know it's Procter). I only posted ITT to see if there was any more information on the GP NYC office since OP started the thread today and I have a CB coming up.

Turned down an offer from them recently. Beautiful offices, great people, really loved the place. Turn-around from CB to offer for me was under 3 days but it may be different later in the game.Anonymous User wrote:any deets? anyone have CB here / offer? what to expect / what to ask.

I'm a transfer to a CCN, and I am still getting CB's from NY firms. I have a few offers already on the table, but I'm just looking to see what else is available before I make a final decision (not the OP, btw)Anonymous User wrote:lol sorry. just thought it was weird the firm was even doing CBs in October since their class size is small. and figured if he was doing well he would have accepted another offer.Anonymous User wrote:Huh? Anything special to note about practice area strengths/firm culture/etc. that would be helpful to talk about at a CB? Sounds like you had a great experience at your CB even if you ended up turning them down.Anonymous User wrote:Turned down an offer from them recently. Strong in white collar, very strong in real estate, a lot of big pharmaceutical clients. It's def a Boston firm so it's a bit more formal, but I liked that about it. You'll want to see if working at the smaller NY office of a Boston firm is right for you, so don't hesitate to ask questions about that. All-around I really liked everyone I met. I think you get (or can get) the names of who's interviewing you in advance. I'd also point out that they have several partners on the younger side which I think makes for a better overall vibe/atmosphere. Best of luckAnonymous User wrote:Anything special to note about practice area strengths/firm culture/etc. that would be helpful to talk about at a CB? I didn't interview for IP so I can't speak to that, I'm just giving you what I learned anecdotally FWIWAnonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:Strong in white collar, very strong in real estate, a lot of big pharmaceutical clients.
