This was in my offer letter-what does it mean?

"In march you will be asked to provide a list of clients for whom you have previously worked to that we may perform a conflicts analysis"

Does this mean, if I worked at a law firm in the past I need to tell them every case I worked on? Or by client do they mean for example, Apple is our client and I used to work for apple so I need to disclose that.

Please elaborate!!

I'm pretty sure the best person to ask about that would be the hiring person at the firm.

This. Also, if this is a new way to gloat about an offer, bravo.

Ask recruiting. Oh SNAP I replied! What are you gonna do now, call the obvious police? GTFO.

EDIT: ITT kids with offers have no clue how law firms work. Have fun learning about the basic business of law. Aren't you glad you studied so hard on worthless conlaw cases?

If you don't want to hear/aren't satisfied with the obvious answer, don't ask the question with the obvious answer.

The correct answer to this question is inherently going to entail stating the obvious because the answer is...well, obvious. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you haven't taken a PR class. Basically what they want is a list of clients with whom you have worked in a previous legal setting. So if you work in a law firm last summer, they're going to want a list of the clients with whom you had direct contact (or at least specific knowledge of their case) so that they can preempt any future conflicts that may arise.
