Yeah, they didn't ask me before hand about what practice areas I'm interested in.

They have a band 1 highly regarded corporate/m&a practice.

I'm sure its no joke, but its a lit firm.

+1. their corporate practice is decent, but they're known as a "bet-the-company"-type litigation firm. lot's of high stakes litigation and work for large companies.
