Thoughts? Assume it's a 3L position - so no risk of a no-offer after SA.

My question exactly. I'm assuming you're not looking at the BSF Santa Monica office (just because it's so new/small), but maybe you are. Either way, unless you have some strong personal reason for wanting to be in a particular non-LA city, I'd definitely go Munger.

OP:

Figure Boies NY, and Munger LA. Please also assume no significant geographical preference.

Thanks!

This is easily Munger if the no-offer question is out. It's an incredible firm.

Is Boies not an "incredible firm?" By all accounts, it is.

My understanding is that the personalities of the two firms are very different. Obviously the CA/NY location feeds into some of that, but I've heard that at Munger, people tend to leave the office early to be with families and work from home if necessary. At Boies, there's more of the "work hard, play hard" mentality. Average age might be lower as well.
