3L job hunt - v20 sa to v15/10?

ccn, a bit above median, just accepted an offer at a v20. i would, of course, be happy enough staying at this firm after graduation (well, as of now), but i do have a twinge of doubt lingering. problem: i have a background in media and would eventually like to get back to working in that sector...that said, i would like to work at a firm that works with these types of clients, if at all possible, to up my chances of going in-house at one of these clients, or at least getting the chance, however slim, of weaseling my way onto a few deals and getting to know the legal part of the industry better. the v20 i'm going to has no such clients that i'm aware of...
so. i know 3l oci is generally a sad affair, but i know there are a few v10/15 firms that have exactly what i'm looking for. assuming my grades aren't atrocious 2l year, and perhaps i kick my own ass a little harder, is this something that can feasibly happen? obviously there are a lot of factors, but i guess i'm curious whether v15 and up only look at candidates from firms they see as peers, or whether anyone has seen this done? also, when going in-house, do companies generally care what type of deals you've worked on or with what type of clients?
