ITT: Read too much into a 9-day wait

Post by Anonymous User » Sun Sep 18, 2011 9:14 am

I'm a student at a T30, top 10%, LR, Moot Court. Two weeks ago, I had a callback at a BigLaw firm in a secondary market, along with six or seven other students from my school. I know at this point that two of those other students have received offers. I don't think they'll take them, as they've each got New York or DC offers in hand. If they turn them down, how deep is a firm willing to go into the list of other candidates? FWIW, the place is looking for a fairly large summer class, 8-12 associates, and I've got strong ties to the firm.

As deep as they need to go to fill their class. No one can answer this.
