Retracting Offer?

So got an offer as a 3L. I'm worried about taking hard courses and getting bad grades. Do firms (or has anyone heard of firms) retract offers for bad grades in your final year?

Thanks!

OP here. I really need an answer on this in the next 30 minutes...

Has anyone heard of this happening? Please?! Thanks!

why do you need an answer in the next 30 minutes? are you going to make some sort of decision that it's ok to make bad grades? Or are you deciding whether or not to keep a specific class in your schedule?

I think the solution is just to not make bad grades. I'd think they'd have to be pretty bad/a lot lower than your current gpa for a firm to rescind their offer.

(1) I need to drop a harder course and add a easier one in the next 30.

(2) WTF? How can you "not make bad grades"? LS is not an easy place to control your grades...

This may be crazy, left-field thinking, but how about just taking the classes you'd enjoy and/or would consider most useful to your anticipated practice, and making sure you do well?

What firms have made offers to 3Ls?

Really? If doing well in Law School was so easy, people would all have jobs...

No one has heard about this? I've heard that K&E has done it...

The correlation between grades and jobs is weaker than you'd expect. I personally think that actually developing knowledge relevant to the practice areas of your firm is worth more, unless you're C-student material or something. If you're C-student material, how the crikey did you get a job offer already ITE?

Bump. Curious about this as well, for both 2L and 3L grades. I know GDC cares about 2L grades...
