Thank you after 2nd, non-callback, interview?

I recently had a second on-campus interview with a partner. Instead of doing callbacks, he flew out again to re-interview some people. Should I email a thank you letter or hand write a thank you card?

Wow, another thank you note thread. There is never any reason to hand write a thank you note, nor is there any reason to write one at all, but hand writing really is excessive.
