I worked as an SA at a market-paying firm this summer, and expect to hear back later this year about offers. From all indications, I hope to be offered and will accept.
However, in the meantime I am considering applying elsewhere as a safety. I've seen some entry-level associate positions that fit my undergrad perfectly (seeking accounting or business experience, etc.). These positions don't say anything about timeline. Is it okay to apply to such positions now with the condition that you are seeking a full-time position next year after graduating?
