Effects of the compressed recruiting season?

Does anyone else think that the fact that top schools like Columbia, Harvard, NYU, and Yale all pretty much had their OCI in the same week has changed firm recruiting this year?
My theory is that the compressed recruiting season has resulted in some of the very selective firms (i.e. WLRK, W&C, etc.) comparing candidates across schools when making offer decisions.
I've had callbacks at some of these firms and met kids from Yale, Harvard, Columbia, and NYU at all of them. I'm assuming that the reason alot of folks may not have heard from these firms is that unlike other years when they could simply weigh candidates from the same school against one another, they're comparing candidates across schools in making offer decisions.
Some of the larger NYC firms like Cravath and S&C have such large classes that they have historical target numbers from each school, which is why they are able to give out offers right after interviews.
What does everyone else think?
