I'm just saying, I personally think the Kasowitz lawsuit guy may be hurting some people with anything more than 1-2 years WE out of undergrad (and that WE isn't something like a Hill internship or Peace Corps/TFA). Maybe I'm wrong on that, but it's not out of the realm of possibility.Anonymous User wrote:When I say unique, I mean very strong UG major, rare/valued languages, desirable post-grad WE, great grades, top-flight 1L job.Anonymous User wrote:Among the many things I learned through OCI... a "unique resume" may not be a good thing at all.Anonymous User wrote:I'm close to out of the game. Today alone had 4 rejections (3-post CB, 1 massmail) all of which I thought went VERY well.
Good stats, unique resume, told I interview well....I've never experienced despair before but I'm there now.
I'm *this* close to calling up my old employers and begging to come back.

This is true. Just heard from a V50 NYC firm that I mass mailed in early July inviting me for a CB.

I'll attest to this. I just got a phone offer about 12 days after my callback. Not saying where or how, but we'll say that I'm a more marginal candidate, so it makes sense that it took time. I was probably a second choice candidate.
You know what? It doesn't matter. They print that offer on the same paper as the others.

i got an offer from a v20 exactly 1 month after my cb, despite having heard of multiple other offers with way shorter turnaround time. like the above anon, i was probably a marginal/2nd choice candidate... but an offer is still an offer!
