Via MM I was dinged at K&L Gates & Jones Day. Silence from the rest. Applied over a month ago

Re: Any movement in Pittsburgh?
I was wondering about this as well. I interviewed with Jones Day, K&L Gates, Reed Smith, and Morgan Lewis for Pittsburgh at my school's OCI, albeit with attorneys from other offices. I've also applied direct to the other NALP Pittsburgh firms and a handful of others. I haven't heard a peep back from any of them yet, and it has been almost two weeks now. When were Pitt & Duquesne's respective OCI programs? Perhaps they are waiting to get through those first?

Re: Any movement in Pittsburgh?
I've got an OCI Screener w/ Thorp Reed Monday and already got dinged from Jones Day after a screener. Not @ Pitt or Duquesne.
MM'd Buchanan, Reed Smith, Babst, Cohen, and K&L Gates and have had no answers.

Pitt's OCI has been going on the past two weeks. I don't really have any more info than that, sorry.

Went surfing around Pitt and Duquesne's websites for some info and found this:

I'm assuming any larger firms will have done their interviews in sessions 1 or 2, but holy cow they have OCI in November?! Poor bastards.Fall 2011 OCI has been divided into three sessions.
SESSIONS Session 1: August 29 – September 9
Session 2: September 12 – September 23
Session 3: September 26 – November 18

Re: Any movement in Pittsburgh?
I was offered callbacks at the following firms:
Jones Day
K&L Gates
Buchanon
Reed Smith
Morgan Lewis
Some of these were via mailing and some were within a few days of an OCI screener.
I think Pittsburgh moves more slowly/differently than the bigger markets. Because the SA classes are smaller they can afford to be more selective in some sense.

Re: Any movement in Pittsburgh?
Do you know if anyone has an offer at RS? Or when they were expected to hear by? I did CB from mailing with RS a few weeks ago, but I haven't heard anything yet.BarbellDreams wrote:I know multiple students who did K&L and Reed Smith callbacks already.

Have a friend with an offer at K&L in Pittsburgh. Non-T14, Tier 1 school with great grades.

T14. I know K&L has made some offers here. Unrelated, but I've also heard Cohen & Grigsby has made and is in the process of doing call backs.

Babst Calland said they are planning on making their offers sometime late this week or early next week. They seemed like a really great firm based on the CB.
