I'm kinda surprised no one has either gotten a W&C offer yet or bragged about getting a W&C offer.

I'm guessing if its creeping up on two weeks since my callback that I should prepare myself for the rejection letter right?

What school do you go to and what's their interviewing timeframe? W&C said they wouldn't give any offers until they'd interviewed everyone at my school. Our interviewing period doesn't end until the end of this week, so it's quite possible that some people will receive offers 2+ weeks after their callback if their callback was extremely early in the interviewing period.

Last year W&C only gave callbacks to 5 people at my school. I wasn't extremely early when I did my callback either because I got the callback invite almost a week before my interview. I still haven't gotten the rejection letter but I'm assuming it should in the mail by now.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows anyone at any school that already has an offer at W&C?

It sucks that there isn't alot of info in this thread. How else are we high strung overachievers supposed to know when our dreams have been crushed?

At such a small firm, wouldn't posting anything lead to getting outed? This seems like a dead end thread.

Williams is a very decently sized firm, are you thinking of someplace else?

Can I get some confirmation that I'm not the only one STILL waiting to hear something? C'mon, let's do this already! I'm honestly starting to close in on the 28-day deadline for some of the other firms that have given offers!

At my school, all the offers have already gone out. Don't want to say which school, given how few offers were made. It looks like about half of the CB interviewees got offers. I think they made calls to everyone on the same day--so if someone at your school has an offer and you don't, things aren't looking great.

Still waiting here as well...

Safe to assume that the dings are going out by snail mail?

I also turned down a W&C offer even though I want to litigate in DC. I'm interested in both trial and appellate work and therefore went with another biglaw firm with a stronger appellate practice and where I felt a bitter fit. W&C is a great firm, but name and prestige aren't everything. Culture and fit should matter so much more than TLS'ers give them credit for.

FWIW, my offer came 3+ weeks after my callback (last year). And it seems like the offers for any given school come before the rejections (which makes obvious sense since it seems possible that declined offers filter down within a school). So I wouldn't start worrying until you have heard that other callbacks at your school have been rejected.

Finally, it seems strange that anyone at YLS would have thought that YLJ was a de facto requirement (outside of sheer rumor). I know just 2 YLS students who worked there last summer, and neither are on YLJ.

Anyway, good luck!

How big is their summer class usually? And does anyone know whether they are helpful with getting clerkships (apart from just looking good on the resume)?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
