just curious if anyone heard anything back about either call backs or offers from Hughes Hubbard's new york office. thanks

My CB is in a week. Pretty psyched for it. Seems like a great firm.

How about the DC office?

i've had a callback.

i have one in a couple days. any tips? is it conversational or more formal, etc?

They're generally pretty conversational. It's a standard interview. A few questions about your resume, maybe some conversation of something that interests the interviewer, and then they'll ask you if you have any questions. Hughes Hubbard is definitely into "personality fit."

my guess would be phone call offers fri and snail mail dings tues, but that is 120% speculation.

For those of you who have had callbacks, did you get a list with the names of your interviewers beforehand?

you call the day before and they will give it to you

different anon here, but the hurricane might have pushed their schedule back a bit I think public transit was closed Monday (just speculation)

actually talked to the recruiting dude, and this is pretty much what happened. they had saturday interviews scheduled, and the hurricane pushed them all into this week. they're meeting today (thursday), and he said we'd be hearing back fri-tues.

Nice, somewhat genteel OR sociable, outgoing I'd say. People who are easy to work with, not too high strung.
