Re: MoFo callbacks/offers
Did anyone else get a bad feeling from MoFo SF on callbacks? They were pretty much my top choice going into OCI. Associates I met on the CB seemed to be pretty dissatisfied with their jobs, and generally it seemed pretty grim. I got an offer the same day as my CB but thinking pretty hard about turning them down.

I had the opposite experience at MoFo NY; everybody was really nice, upbeat, and seemed excited about their work. Maybe the SF office is just tired of interviewing a million 2Ls.

Re: MoFo callbacks/offers
I turned down MoFo for another firm because all the interviewers seemed slightly rude/arrogant and a little jaded about the work they do. In one interview I mentioned I can handle a high workload and high pressure (e.g. school part time, full time engineer, helping out a start-up and I'm volunteering with a small practice all at the same time this year), and the interviewer replied that "that's nothing". I do respect that they're getting all the big cases in IP litigation right now, but I'd be interested to find out more about the culture if someone has inside knowledge.

I'm going to the SF office this summer. It was a super hard choice for me to make - I had several other options that were also incredibly tempting. For me, it came down to (1) really liking the people I interviewed with; (2) the firm's reputation in SF; (3) the firm's slight quirkiness, which for me, made me feel like I would fit in well there.
My other top choice was one of my best callbacks in terms of the people, but the office is a satellite office (granted, of a V5 NY firm, but still a small satellite office), where it seemed like if you did not make the "right" connections, you could end up getting stuck on endless doc review. It was still an incredibly hard choice to make - I recommend talking to former summers at all of the places you are strongly considering, as well as seeing if there are alums to connect with that did not originally interview you.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
