Need some feedback here, this topic has been bandied about on here a bit but not much lately.
Strictly in terms of general litigation, how would you rate the following firms in terms of overall prestige? All anecdotes are appreciated.
My understanding is that it goes
1. Kirkland
2. Mayer Brown
3. Sidley (would be #2 overall but probably #3 for litigation behind MB)
4. Winston
5. Jenner
Where would you place Schiff Hardin, Jones Day, Skadden, McDermott, Katten and others?
Thank you for the help.

Excluding Barlit Beck, a boutique, Jenner, Mayer Brown, and Kirkland appear to take the cake.

Going off what I know and not with the info in front of me: Winston is certainly not better than jenner in lit. Not even close, actually

If you were looking for overall strength in litigation I would say:
1. Kirkland
2. Sidley
3. Winston
4. Mayer (unless interested in appellate, then I would say #1)
5. Jenner
Also keep in mind that Jenner is the only one of these to not pay market past the first year and pay sub-market bonuses.
ETA: Obviously excludes BB.
