I'm not sure if I didn't do enough selling myself or my interest in the firm. I try to project a social, want to be with you at 3 am vibe and am pretty fratty. Should I steer a conversation (obv not immediately, but at some point) away from sports and to the law/law firm/etc.?

Callback- I am married and want my wife to be part of the decision on whether to move to NYC. Is it okay to get a firm to pay for her ticket as well?

Thanks!
1) selling yourself and showing interest in the firm is essential
2) no, it's not ok

If you have good or OK grades, it's important to sell yourself as capable, diligent, etc. If you have great grades, it's probably less important to do so and more important to represent yourself as friendly, likable, etc.

I have very good grades and have gotten CBs after interviews where we didn't discuss a single thing from my resume. I think if your grades are borderline for a CB, it's more important to push the conversation into demonstrating your strengths to compensate for less-than-stellar grades.

Not ok to ask. But if the firm offers (I have a CB with a firm that does this), no reason why you can't take them up on it.

Completely agree. If you have great grades there is a huge cushion..... just be likeable.
