Socal top tier school - estimated top 10% (best guess is top 7-8%). I've been told I interview well.

I am looking at Orange County offices/firms only. 10 interviews at OCI last week. Callbacks from Rutan, Jones Day, Stradling, and Snell Wilmer.
Dinged at Latham and McDermott Will Emery (poor interview for McDermott).
Still waiting on 4 firms from OCI and a few where I direct applied.

Interview wasn't terrible, though I can't remember much of what we talked about, which is probably a bad sign. The only interview that I for sure bombed was Jenner.

I just scheduled a callback with a V20 in NYC. They didn't want to do it any earlier than the first week of September.

I've got two V100 CBs in NYC on 8/31 and 9/1, got the impression that both were early. The first of these is a firm that said that the first day they schedule CBs normally would be 9/6.

my impression is that the EARLIEST callbacks are late august so seems pretty regular. Keep in mind this whole "finish OCI/CB before school starts" thing is a recent trend. I think the old schedule was typically to have callbacks well into October..

Top 10% DCNG. 20 screeners. 15 CBs so far. No official dings, but 2 soft dings. 3 outstanding where it's unclear if CBs have gone out yet. OCI was a crazy whirlwind, and I know law school was an insane gamble, but so far it seems to be paying off. We'll see if I can convert these into offers.

I've been on 4 already with another next Friday. I'm actually worried about being disadvantaged because the people I met with might have forgotten me by the time their committees meet. This process is ridiculous compared to what yours must've been like. Stupid arms race.

Already have a V10 offer. So yeah Law School has paid off in a big way already.

I don't think this is correct. I scheduled all of my 5+ NY callbacks in August...I know of 3 different NY firms who already have offers out (V10, V50, Lit Boutique)

The process is earlier and the old conventional wisdom is no longer the rule. There will be offers to September callback in September, of course -- but it is rolling -- schedule early -- you will not be forgotten: hiring committees are meeting at least every week.
