as opposed to
"juris doctorate candidate", which is how it is listed in the educational section of my resume.
Luckily, I haven't submitted my resume to all the schools coming to OCI. But I did just mass mail my only secondary market. How screwed am I ?
But seriously, how could 3 different OCS reviewers miss this

I like that! Unfortunately, I cannot blame this one on my school, as it properly lists the degree as juris doctor. But is this a forgivable mistake? It seemed like one of the worse mistakes a law student could make . . . like I don't even know what I get for my time at this law school place

I meant to say "one of the
worst mistakes." Were you loling because it really isn't that bad or because of my grammatical error?

OP here.
So anyone want to comment on how worried I should be? Should I be mass mailing small law at this point?

update it on your resume and bring a new copy to interviews to give. don't bring it up.
not that big of a deal. obviously it only matters if people NOTICE it, which they often won't. it seemed apparent from my first interview this season that the interviewer really hadn't read my resume; the second one had, but presumably mostly for my experience. people read GPA, class rank, then experience when looking at a resume. No one is reading what degree you're seeking.

It's not a big deal. You'll be fine. The notion that minor errors on resumes will fuck up your life is myopic. You're gonna be okay. And yes, technically, those of us who graduate law school will have doctorates. The juris doctor is a professional doctorate degree.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Profession ... doctorates. (That's just a fact, I'm not comparing it to getting an MD ("medicinea doctor") or a PhD ("doctor of philosophy")).
